Permanenet resident visa - is Form 1229 mandatory or child custody from court is enou

Dear Sir,

I have applied for 189 visa(permanent resident) but got a query asking for signature of my ex husband on Form 1229 for my kid's visa who is 7 years. I have attached the custody from Indian court which has no visiting rights to the father and i have permanent custody for the child. I have still got the query from immigration to submit the form 1229. pls let me know will the application will get accepted or rejected as im not able to reach the child's father to get the form signed through phone or email.

Regards,
Rads

You need his permission for child to travel to Australia.

If you do dot know how to find him you must show you have tried extensively, but if he will just refuse you need a court paper saying his rights as a parent are refused.

Immigration are very tough on kids traveling with only one parent.
