Want to be with my girlfriend

Hi all,,I want to go to australia to live with my girlfriend, I know about 3month travel visa for normal holidays,,but we want to be together forever soon as i get there,,what are my options. I thought of 12 month visa,,but I even though i would have enough funds to tide me over,, i would like to wirk after a few month, We are so serious about one another,, iwould be stoping with her,,and we would go to any commitment to be togather forever,,,what is my best option please,,,,,,,,,,,thanks

Whats is your citizenship?
That will have a major bearing on your options.

Depending on your age you could be eligble for a working holiday visa, here is a link:

If you gather evidence while you are here and register your relationship you could apply for a Partner Visa just before your WHV expires.

Hi Steve,I am 50,,but if on 3 mnth visa,I should have enough funds to tide me over.So with the evedence I know I must gather,,,even just under 3 mnth evidence,,is it still okay in that time to apply a partner visa even though on a 3 mnth tourist visa

Unfortunately 3 months won't be long enough.
If you are contemplating marriage you could apply for a Prospective Marriage Visa, and then visit your fiance for 3 months at a time, most people take a side trip to New Zeland or Bali to restart their 3 month timer.
