Facebook as evidence

I know it sounds weird initially... but you can't falsify dates on facebook any more than you can by gettinga joint rent contract.

All over my Facebook (private messages, each other's walls, on our walls from friends) there are very clear confirmations we have been very serious since December 2010.

I have to say I'm a little surprised actually that Facebook isn't evidence. I've never heard of anyone being able to put posts or messages up under older dates and I'd be happyto give immigration my login so they can see we've been posting to each other on there almost daily for 2 years.

Has anyone ever succesfully used something from Facebook as evidence?

Ive sent in a coupe of things of Facebook and Ive been granted but then again Ive sent a heap of other stuff too, so I cant tell you whether they considered my Facebook evidence as evidence or ignored it :-)
I guess it cant harm to include it but make sure you dont rely on only facebook.

Thank you for replying!

Yes, luckily we do have more evidence, but I'm seriously contemplating also giving them my Facebook login (and some printscreens). I just figure I have nothing to hide on there and a whole ton of messages between us not to mention messages about us (positive, obviously) between me and friends, half of that in English... it feels silly to just print it because that can easily be edited, but actual Facebook itself can't (unless I was a notorious hacker).

I've also used Facebook screenshots of messages we've sent to each other as evidence of our relationship.. What I did is I've chosen messages from different dates so they would have an idea that we've been communicating regularly through Facebook. I've also sent them screenshots of Skype video calls. With the date and duration of the call evident on the screen. A screenshot of my e-mail inbox. And heaps of photos (90 photos (OVERKILL)..

I've got my PMV approved in just 11 weeks and my 820 approved in 5 weeks and 2 days.. So I guess using facebook in tandem of other evidences should not be a problem.

P.S. You don't have to give them your Facebook log-in.
