Travel Insurance query

Hey guys,

I'm heading out to Newcastle NSW soon, on a 417 working holiday. I'm looking at travel insurance right now. I've noticed most policies state that the trip needs to start and end within the UK (where I live now). But my intention is to live with my girlfriend for the 12 months and apply for a de facto visa in the meantime.

So my question is what should I do regarding the insurance? Obviously my visa has an end date, but my actual trip does not and I'm not intending to return to the UK until I'd already be on the de facto visa.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.
