health check for partner visa 820

hi does anybody have experience in obtaining this?

What does the health check involve and is Bupa the only clinic who can do it?

Also what is the cost?

My partner and I are in the middle of putting together our application and would be so grateful to speak to those who have gone through the same!!

Most of the answers you're looking for should be at Welcome to Bupa Medical Services.

I believe that Bupa are the only people who can do the exam if you are within Australia.

Yep I did mine last week.
I had to go to Bupa in Perth, I was on my own and they ask to allow 2 hours but mine took 45 mins.

First you put a medical top/gown on, then get xray, then see someone who does urine test and takes blood and blood pressure, weight etc then to see the Dr who just has a chat, mine felt my stomach and listen to my chest and back and I was in there about 5 minutes.

Really really easy. 2 days later immi had my medical results and are asking for me to redo my police check as silly me sent them a state AFP check not a national :P

If you're only just applying I would recommend waiting to do the health and police checks until maybe in 10 months... they do expire and it saves you time and money than having to repeat these.
