online application: do uploaded documents have to be certified first then uploaded?

I've seen in some threads that documents which are uploaded and attached to an online application don't have to be certified like physical documents sent by mail.

Can someone verify that this is true? If it is I will be so happy since that will make this process so much easier!

Yes it is true as long as the original document is colour scanned.

For the colour scanning, I took photos with my mobile phone and uploaded those.

We got the Visa, so it must have been OK. (and they were not certified either)

JandE,

I see that you used a tourist visa for about 5 months while you waited for your pmv to be granted. I'm curious about doing this as well while I wait for my visa.

How did you support yourself while you were in Oz?

Ah yeah, so it's not really possible for me to do that then.

My partner and I plan on taking over his family business, and that would certainly be able to support me. But I would technically still be working, and I don't want to do anything that would look bad. So I'm not sure that I should even bother getting a tourist visa then :/
