Typed or Handwritten Visa Form

Hi all,

I am new here. We are currently working on our Visa application. I am wondering, does DIAC accept (or even prefer) a typed application form over handwritten forms?

As all the forms can be downloaded in PDF format with fields that you can type in, it would be logical to allow typed form as long as it's signed and witnessed (if required) in the end.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. (I'll search now and remove this post if it has) I'll also be contacting DIAC today asking the same question. I'll post here with their response. Thank you.

I typed mine because it looks so much neater and any spelling errors can be easily wiped out with 'Backspace' I don't think DIAC is bothered with type written or hand written forms. More importantly, the only thing which will need your pen is when you sign off with your own signature at the back of the forms.

Typed . You'll have to sign it anyway and initial every page (optional)

People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.

We are told to remember the idea, not the man. Because a man can fail. He can be killed and forgotten. But four hundred years later an idea can still change the world.
