HELP!!! Potential denial of Spouse Visa

HELP!!!!
Received an email today regarding our spouse visa application stating that due to the RCMP check not being received (applied for it December 4th and still haven't received it) we have until 15th of April then a decision would be made without it and no extension given.
I so confused and stressed I'm wondering if anyone can answer the following:
Has anyone been granted a visa without having a police clearance?
We do have a provincial check
If we are denied what is the process for appeal?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you got a receipt showing that you applied for one? Is there any official website that shows the processing time?

When we got asked for our marriage certificate we sent them a copy of the receipt and a screen shot of the departments processing time (2 months wait but they needed the docs within 28 days). They replayed said they are happy to wait.

Yes we got a receipt in which we uploaded to the application. I also spoke to our case officer stating we were still waiting before the 28 day period.
On the email we just received it did have a date of 25th of January it was supposed to be received by which we were not told of this date and no where has it stated this date.
I also emailed our CO on January 26th saying we were still waiting and if we needed to do anything please let me know. I got no response.
Now after speaking to someone today they informed me they would not grant an extension even though we have documentation to support application is in process.

Peeps, who did you do the application for the Police check through?
Was it in a major city or regional town?

We did through the Comissionaires in Calgary. They did get our return address wrong and I didn't catch it till 2 weeks after we applied. I called them to rectify and they told me they fixed it and resubmitted. I also emailed RCMP to change in which they also said it had been changed in their system.

I can guarantee something has gone wrong I've applied for a fair few RCMP checks over the years and have never waited for more than two weeks, I've also used Commissionaires before as well.

That's who we did it with here in Calgary too. My wife went there in early October and it came around 3 weeks later.

All isn't lost yet. Even if they deny the visa you still have the appeal. So you have from now until the end of the appeal date to get that document and upload it. Maybe go to another agency and pay for another check through them to see if you can get it in about that 3 week period they quote.

Thanks for the advise! We are going to look into again Monday to get another check.
I just looked and the appeal is around $1600 YIKES!!!! My husband was laid off over 2 months ago and we are already dipping into the moving fund that is going to hurt!

Is there any way you can call the RCMP and explain and BEG to have it sent to emailed to you or overnight mailed to you or something? No, you can't be granted your visa without the police check, and if the time the RCMP is spending getting it to you is way outside their norms Immi may think it's suss that it's taking this long and think you're trying to hide something at this point. It sucks that they won't grant you an extension even with evidence you applied for it, though. I'm hoping one of the agents on the forum may see this and have a comment on it.

Thanks for the reply!
There are only 2 ways to contact them by email and phone. The phone number all you get is an automated message and you have to leave a message and at the moment you can't even do that because their mailbox is full. I have sent 4 emails yesterday with the 'URGENT' as the subject line so hopefully it gets seen but I doubt they get to those very often.
We will keep calling and emailing but I don't like our chances of actually getting to speak to someone or a reply to the emails before the deadline next Friday.
