Australian Police Check and Working Holiday Visa

Hi,
I applied for visa 189 recently and heard from the case officer today requesting a UK police check and health assessments, which I was expecting, however she also requested an AFP check but I thought that was only required of we'd lived in Oz for 12 months or more? We were there on a working holiday visa in 2010 for just under 12 months. Is this normal? Obviously happy to do it but just didn't expect it and didn't factor the money in.

Also, any idea why Form 80 has been request as well?

It is normal these days. The Department is more concerned about character and security issues these days. It is really easy to get as you can apply on line and costs about $42.

Thanks Jeremy, what's confusing me is they want addresses from the last 10 years and these will all be UK addresses, as although we were in Oz for 12 months we didn't have any fixed addresses - we were travelling about and using camp sites. Does this matter?

No it doesn't matter. The Department recognises that people are people and that they do all sorts of things.
