Assistance needed in ACS Assessment - ANZSCO Code

Greetings to all,

I am in the process of gathering documents for passing on to ACS for Assessment. A particular point of confusion is choosing which ANZSCO code is relevant. A little bit about myself:

Initial Degree : MBA (Marketing)
Second Degree : MS - Software Engineering, USA (completed in 2007)

Currently working in the USA since 2004 as a software developer. My main duties are the following:

- Design and Develop programming systems making specific determinations about system performance
- Review and repair legacy code
- Analyze, design, co-ordinate and supervise the development of software systems to form a basis for the solution of software application problems.
- Responsible for the analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming
-Research and recommend software tools to management
-Tests and debugs programs to ensure that program results are accurate.

I am a software engineer by designation and so is my degree in that direction. I am gunning for the Software Engineer ANZSCO code.

Any input would be helpful.

Thanks

Without reviewing your complete case, Software Engineer (ANZSCO 261313) sounds about right.

Thank you so very much for the response. I had one more question, I completed my MS in 2010, not 2007. So, based on my readings of ACS, my guess is skilled employment would be counted AFTER 2010 and not before correct?

Thanks

In the case of people who also have extensive work experience before obtaining formal qualifications you may have a choice of an RPL assessment or Academics plus work experience assessment.

Thank you for the response. I have heard of RPL but do not know of the Academics plus work experience assessment. How do I go about doing that if it is in my favor?

Thanks
