bridging visa b

Hi can anyone give me some advise regarding getting a bridging visa b,i am currently on a bva which starts on may 10th which is when my eta expires while awaiting partner visa processing.i really need to go back to the UK around the same time to help my elderly father sell his house,rent out my house and also my husband is coming with me so he can meet my family etc,i havent booked my flight back yet because i dont know how long they take to issue a bvb also i think it may take longer than 3 months to sort things at home,can you ask for 6 months instead of the usual 3,confused .com!!

You should apply about 2-3 wks before intended travel. The don't normally grant BVB more than a week before intended travel date.

When making visa application simply state how long you intend to stay outside of Australia and they are likely to grant you the visa for the required period; unless it's way outside of the norm.

Yes you can ask for a 6 month BVB. It should be granted without a problem as long s the Department knows why you want it.

Hi, i want to ask question related to this topic as well.

Is there any maximum number of applying BVB?
For example, if we use it to visit my partner's country, then we plan to go on holiday next.

No there isn't any maximum number of times you can apply for a BVB.
