Form 80 is too large to upload??

Hi all,

Our CO requested that we complete the Form 80, which we have done. However the attachment is too large to upload to our application? The max is 5mb but the form is about 7mb - we've tried everything, such as reducing the resolution which reduced it by 1mb. We haven't added any pages other that those that are included. Any ideas anyone?

Hi Pom

We used this website to compress our pdfs to a smaller size.

Our completed Form 80 was only 894kb. The blank one was 571kb. The newer version (10/2015) is only 553kb when blank.

What do you have in it to make it 7MB ?

When scanned it often ends up large. I downloaded Paperport it has a edit function resolution and resize it also changes stuff between pdf, word, exel and a few others. It makes t easy to make a pdf file to save on number of uploads.

Please do not use websites to compress files. These are not very safe, and if you use them for private docs like bank statements, it could end badly. There are good programs that can compress/optimise/reduce file size such as Foxit Phantom PDF which costs money or you can get a free trial, or download from other places.
