Visa 820 online - do we need to fill out form 80?

Hi Everyone,

I was just reading a few threads here and some blogs and I was wondering about Form 80 (the character requirements form). I was wondering if we are doing the application online, do we still need to fill this out, print it and scan it in? It seems like a lot of the questions are repeated in the online portion of the visa application.

Also - we've had one 2 month period apart. We have submitted all our chat history demonstrating continuos correspondence during this time. A lot of it is fairly x-rated. What is the protocol - should we censor this?

Finally, do we need to submit the primary visa application before we submit the sponsor application? I keep getting errors when trying to complete the sponsor's application.

Thanks very much.

The Form 80 is not necessary for most people. I filled it in anyway because I figured the more information they have about me the better.

About your chat history. I only sent in screenshots from my e-mail inbox where you can see both e-mail addresses and the date and time. That is the most important thing. If you don't feel comfortable with having them read your messages, you don't have to send them in. You can easily censor them. That is no problem at all. As long as the date and time and names are visible.

"...You will need to ensure that the 47SP form- Application for migration to Australia by a partner is submitted online before your sponsor can submit their 40SP form – Sponsorship for a partner to migrate to Australia.. The sponsor will need your Transaction Reference Number in order to complete their sponsorship form."
