NZ permanent resident moving to Australia, do I need a visa?

Hi, does a person who has a New Zealand permanent residency require a visa to enter Australia. I know that Australian permanent residents do not need one to come to New Zealand.
Thanks.

From my recollection, yes, if you are a NZ permanent resident, you still need a visa for Australia.

Thanks.
The 1973 Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement has allowed Australian and New Zealand citizens to enter each other's country to visit, live and work, without the need to apply for authority to enter the other country before travelling.

Yeah, I think that page answers your question, the agreement covers specifically citizens not permanent residents of New Zealand.
