Arrow What are our options is PMV is rejected?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can let me know what options there are if a PMV is rejected? I understand there are appeals...anything else? Other visa options?

We had a really tough phone interview the other day - him with our CO and me with the CO's supervisor. I was interviewed for 1 hour and he was interviewed for 2.25 hours which has unnerved me. I guess I don't think it will be denied (it definitely shouldn't be) but I am not as sure now that it will be approved as I was before.

I know we are legit and our love is true but on paper it can sometimes be hard to prove that and the questions and undertone of the interview shook me so I am just thinking ahead esp since I have heard of other people who have been rejected who were for real.

Prob have nothing to worry about as it is their job to be suspicious and to ask the tough questions, but we were so excited for the interview as we know our love is for real and we are so excited to start out future together but it turned out to be a bit of a deflating experience.

My fiance has a friend in the same situation as him who immigrated to USA 2 years ago and had a 15 MINUTE face to face interview with the US embassy in Greece so we are just feeling the treatment i very different towards us and confused as to why.

Comparing the US system with the Australian system is like comparing apples and pears. The Australian system IMHO is much harder and tougher to get through. If my husband wanted to come here the form was 2 pages, for me to go to Australia it has been 7 pounds of documentation and evidence 4 x the application cost and much less feedback. I think you should be happy you got to the interview stage because if they planned to deny you they probably would have already given you a hard time. The PMV is rarely denied but takes longer as it is capped and you have to wait for a place.

Thanks for the reassurance Kttykat. It was just such a shake up for us both. We are trying hard to stay focused and positive but not being together makes it hard to carry on as you probably well know. Yes I will look at it as the interview being a positive things. The interview wasnt terrible but it was pretty direct and they asked some really tough stuff....no way a fake couple would have made it through that stage as it was questions from left field...nothing on the paper we filled in really...and lots of detail. But we talk everyday and have done so for 10 months and I am lucky I have a fiance that is a great communicator so we talk about everything and know each other very well.
I love him so much I just can't imagine my world without him in it

Hel Mel,

Was your fiancee interviewed via phone in Aus and you were interviewed via phone in Germany?
