Oh crap if it's that expensive doesn't look like we'll be doing it in time for the visa! Me not working has crippled us a little bit.

To name him as a beneficiary on your super is also a great idea, easily done online.
Yeah I should have added him on the bills earlier but it's just come round real quick all of sudden and we've just had the bills through so not sure we'll get the next lot in time.

Yeah, mine wasn't ready in time either, I uploaded it later but with my electricity provider I have an online account where I could basically take a screenshot to show both our names before the actual bill was issued.

Just add him now, it'll just be a form to fill out and then they'll add the name

So tonight I thought I'd start listing the evidence we needed and have hit a brick wall.

- We own the house together but on paper it's only my husbands name, as at the time I wasn't working and we got a better deal on the home loan if he went it alone, we were advised by our mortgage broker to leave it six months before adding my name. Now I'm hoping all that will go through in time.

- My husband being antisocial and I struggling to make friends (lake of work and no kids) means we have no joint invites to events, photos with friends, he has nothing to do with my family (long story) so no joint family pics except with his family, even though I have family in Oz. This also means we only have his family to do the 888 forms. Again.

- We have no bills in joint names. When I started work we agreed he would pay the mortgage from his wages and from mine I would pay utilities/bills/dog bills/groceries. It works for us, but now I'm realising our error. Is this going to go against us?!!

- We have no correspondence to any addresses together since the temp application and evidence was submitted - on bills or letters in one or the others name, nothing addressed to us together. Is this going to be an issue?!

- We haven't travelled or holidayed anywhere together (or separately) as we haven't been able to afford to.

I'm stressing now because we've lived the best way to suit us as a couple and it works, but now when I'm trying to put our marriage down on paper it looks like we're two individual people and I'm worried it's going to go against us. We're so close to PR I don't think I'd cope if we got turned down.

Can anyone advise or calm me please!!!

"Okay so I've filled in most the form online but I can't submit until it's been 24 months which will be the 7th July."

Can you please confirm that you cannot actually formally submit the application until AFTER the 801 eligibility date?

Good luck with your documents!

That's correct, they won't even look at it until the eligibility date but I want it all there ready to go.
