PMV to 820 application questions

Hi there.

My husband and I are applying for a PMV to 820 visa and are confused by a couple of things.

1) The form asks if the applicant has completed a health check for a visa in the past 12 months. My husband did the health checks in April 2015 - when our CO asked for them - so it's now just over 12 months. My understanding was that you don't need to redo them for the 820 if you've already done them for the PMV but now I'm concerned. We want to provide his HAP ID and state they've been done recently but can only do so if we answer yes to the first question, which isn't technically correct, since it's over 12 months.
Any advice?

2) When the form asks for details of all our family members, there's the possibility of adding parents-in-law. Now that we're married should we include each other's parents as mothers and fathers-in-law, even though that means repeating the same information? Or is it obvious that our parents are now the other's parents-in-law seeing as we just got married?

3) My husband's German passport has an O or 0 in the document number. It's really hard to tell which it is but when we looked it closely today we started to think it's a zero, despite it being amongst a whole lot of letters. Checking back on our first application and visa grant, however, it seems we were confident then that is was the letter O. Should we write it as an O for consistency's sake, as that's what we did last time or should we write zero which we now think is correct? Will this cause problems for us?

If anyone can give us any helpful advice with these questions or point us in the right direction of who to ask we'd be really grateful.

Ive had the same questions once regarding my passport. I googled it, and countries have rules about it. According to the German passport wiki page:
"Thus, "0" denotes the numeral, not the letter "O"."
(The letter O is simply not used at all on German passports)

I would go with the numeral 0. Highly likely in your last application Australian immigration read you O as an 0 as they know it is almost always the number, not the letter.

I found the same:

German passports numbers never contain the letter "O."
If you are experiencing difficulty using the Australian Immigration eVisa systems you should check you have not mistakenly substituted the letter "O" for the digit "0" (zero).

Hi Arianwen,

My husband and I applied for our 820 from PMV last week.
I thought the same about the medical check as my husband is same as yours - Medical originally done in April 2015.
We clicked NO to the medical question and I think if they require a new medical it will be requested however Im sure being its only 1 month expired it should be fine.

We only listed our parents and siblings on the family members page.

Can't really help with the passport query for you. My guess is though it shouldn't affect a decision on your VISA :)

GOOD LUCK!
