Hello,
I'm a British citizen who is thinking about moving to Melbourne, primarily because my brother lives there.
I was looking at the visa options and I thought I can move to Australia with "Skilled-Sponsored visa (subclass 176)" but seems this option is not possible any more and, I think, now I'm left with only one option, Skilled-Independent visa (subclass 189), but I get only 55 points at the moment (if I do IELTS then I can get 60 points which are required for this category).
I'm 33 years old so Working Holiday visa is also out of question and reason I'm moving to Australia is so me and my brother's family can spend more time with each other so realistically speaking I don't want to live and work in some remote area as well. Is there any other visa category which allows me and my family to live and work in Australia?
Any help or pointers will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Manan
