Quick question of form 40SP

Hi,

I have a quick question regarding Part H - about your home on form 40SP. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment which my parents own. The mortgage on this property is under my parents' names, but I make the repayments for them.

Under question 45 - Ownership of dwelling. Is it appropriate to put down "paying home loan"? If not, what should it be?

Also, the form wants me to provide length of residence under Australian citizen by grant in question 8. I don't get the logic behind this as I'm already a citizen. I've read somewhere that a certified copy of passport and certificate of citizenship are sufficient as proof of citizenship and length of residence. Is this the case? Or should I provide other documents?

Many thanks.

Hi jimmyc,

My husband had to fill in form 40 SP too.

With question no. 45 about the dwelling, I'm not so sure, but if you're not officially paying home loan, then it's Rent? My husband is paying home loan and we provided documents regarding the home loan. But then again, maybe others can give more info about this..

Question no. 8, yeah they just need that confirmation on your length of residence. And certified copy of passport + citizenship certificate is what we submitted.

Hope this helps!
