Question Can I fill in PDF forms on PC rather than scan?

Hi, first time poster.

I have been looking all over the internet but could not find a clear answer so I though I'd register and post my question.

My question is in regards to a partner visa (subclass 309).

Rather than filling in forms with pen (e.g. Form 40sp, Form 80 etc), scanning then uploading the documents, would the embassy accept forms that have been filled in on the computer with Adobe Reader and then uploded?

I've done some research on the embassy's website and refers to scanning documents but nothing about filling documents on the computer.

Also I have a black and white copy of a notarized document. However the notarized stamp is in black and white, literally the entire document is in black and white. Will the embassy accept this or must the stamp be in color?

Thanks everyone for their assistance

I filled mine out online, printed it, signed it, then scanned and uploaded it. It was accepted without any issue.

I've seen posts from others who have uploaded scanned copies of black and white documents without certifying them, and haven't had any issues.

When you mention that you printed out the form, I am assuming that you are referring to printing only the pages requiring a signature and leaving the rest as is?

It's just that after filling out certain forms (eg 40sp) the form is still editible afterwards which worries me as the embassy may not probably accept it like that.

Well the notarized document I have is a national ID document. I read somewhere that the stamp on the document must be in colour but wasn't too sure.

No, I printed the entire form, signed where required and then scanned it so it was an uneditable PDF when I uploaded it.
