Fastest (Permanent) Visa grant ever recorded!!

Hi Everyone,

I posted my application on 21.12.2012
Granted Permanent Residency (801) on 24.12.2012

They received my application this morning and i received e-mail from the case officer around 4 o clock saying that i have been granted temporary partner visa and then i emailed her back saying that i am eligible for the partner permanent visa as i fulfill the 3 year criteria. Then i received email from her after 6 minutes saying that she made a mistake and i have been granted Permanent visa.(801)

Such a nice case officer, she made our Christmas!!!

Well congratulations again to you!

I still find it hard to believe that they granted the visa within the day that they received it, especially considering that you submitted 3.5kg (7.7 pounds) of documentation that would have had to be read and have scanned it all into the system. Are you really sure that the email was a grant of visa and not just an acknowledgement of a valid application for the permanent visa? I know they can fast track a decision ready application but even then it usually takes more than a week.

Yes I am 100% sure and I knw its unbelievable. I first received acknowledgement then email.from.case officer saying that I have been granted TR and I was pretty sure that I am eligible for PR and I emailed her back and then she wrote it was a mistake and then she sent me another email with the correct visa that is 801 and then I checked on VEVO it says residence permanenet visa.

Me n my partner met in India and then came here for the studies together the. Stayed in a shared accommodation for sometime Nd then moved out in defacto. My partner applied for his residency in 2009 and then he was granted in 2011 and due to negligence I didn't add myself in hos application back in 2009 anyway... I had all proofs as in leases joint account bills car insuarance etc.. I sent in decision ready application ans mentioned all the crucial details on the very first page. Also I sent in past
3years bank statements for myself Nd my partner this y my application weighed 3.5kgs. I had to post my application in a cardboard box given by Australia post.
