Changing from master to graduate diploma - partner visa

Hey there!

I'm currently doing a master but I don't want to finish the whole master due to financial issues, so I'm thinking on changing to graduate diploma. However, I only need to study one more subject to be able to finish the graduate diploma.

Do you think I can get a new CoE just for one subject and apply for the student visa again? Because if I can, my new expired visa will expire earlier and I will not have problems on applying to the partner visa after.

Thanks for your help
