Do i need to leave the country to come in on WHV?

Hi there,

I am wondering if I am granted a Working Holiday Visa, is it possible for me to be IN the country just on a Visitors Visa for a period of time and then switch over to my Working Holiday Visa? Like... say I just go over to NZ for a week and when I come back start the WHV? Is that something that's possible? Or do I have no option other than to start the WHV the first time I enter the country after I'm granted it?

Sorry if this is such a silly/stupid question!!

Thanks guys!
Cailene

Not sure if this bit applies to you..

You must be outside Australia when you apply for your first Working Holiday visa and when the visa is decided.
