When does IMMI office open next?

Hi everyone,

First of all, happy holidays!

Does anyone know when the IMMI office open next?

It's Thu 27th Dec in Adelaide, South Australia right now and it's supposedly a normal trading/business day. The last 2 days were Christmas and Boxing Day public holidays, so I thought I would swing by the Adelaide IMMI office today.

But they are not open. I'm not exactly happy now. I can't find any information on the IMMI website, I can't get any information by calling the IMMI general enquiry hotline. I simply have no idea when the office will open next!

The security guard at the Adelaide IMMI office building told me to come back tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I can trust her..

I want to beat the price hike on 1st Jan, and at least pay the application fee for my 820!!!!

Please help.. Have you got any idea when the IMMI office will open next, or at the very least, when there will be an operator on the IMMI hotline???

Well according to their sites, they are supposed to be open on the 27th as they are only supposed to be closed on the state, by state public holidays. Seems like they aren't doing what they say they do, surprise, surprise, surprise...

Sorry to hear they are doing this to you, hope they do open on the 28th for you, as officially they should be, just like they should have been on the 27th!..... Otherwise it will be your last chance on Monday the 31st and that is cutting it really fine.

Glad we got ours in back in October, that was expensive enough.

Best of luck,

Kttykat

DIAC was closed for 25, 26, 27 December and will be open Friday the 28th of December and Monday 31 December, closed on Tuesday 1 January, reopening Wed 2 January. Also, note that Australia Post is closed on Monday 31 December, so any applications sent by Post that do not arrive by Friday 28 Dec will not get to DIAC until 2 January.

Thank you! And thank goodness! Would have been furious if I'd had to pay $1000 more. Finally applying for my Partner visa tomorrow!

I think but am not sure .Most government offices shut over the Christmas New year break and may not open again until either the 2nd Jan or even the 7th of Jan .but keep trying and hope you all get in before 1st Jan.

I went to the Immi office in Perth today, and they were open. They told me they'll be open Monday as well.
