Off Shore Partner Visa

Hi If I apply for my partner visa off shore and I currently hold a 6 month multiple entry visitor visa, with no 8503 conditions will my current visa automatically become voided?
I am planning on going home after my 6 month expires and applying for my PMV off shore. I would like to back to Australia again on my 6 month visa would this be possible? Or will I need to apply for a new tourist visa?

Your tourist via will remain in effect until the grant of the PMV or the tourist visa expires.
