485 visa and application fee

Hi

My wife's son applied for a 485 visa; graduate temporary visa.
The DIBP fee calculator indicated a fee from AUD1470 for a single applicant.
However, when he submitted his application online, the price returned was AUD7350.

Can anyone verify if fees quoted on the calculator have relevance to the actual application?

Seems exorbitant. Thank you in advance.

The fee should be $1,470. Has he perhaps included family members by accident in his application?

Thank you Maggie May

You hit the nail on the head.
When we linked to the final price, breakdown showed a list of all the family members who were listed in the form.

The application details are ambiguous in that regard.
One heading is
- Accompanying members
- Non accompanying members
Then, - Other family members.

The Other, indicates that other family members' names who are not included in the application, should be listed.
On the 801 application, other family members' names are requested, who are not part of the application, and are therefore not in the fee calculation.

Quite confusing.
I think DIBP should be consistent in the way they receive applicant data.

Thanks again

Thanks for the comments

Seems that there is a problem with online applications.
The website is not processing submissions correctly, with no plans to rectify soon.
DIBP have advised my son to submit his 485 application on paper.
