There are stages to applying for the 457 visa once you have compiled all the information and submitted all the documentation, the completion time frame on the IMMI site ( link below) shows 2 months for low risk and 3 months for high risk.

the 3 stages are;
Stage 1: Employer applies to be a sponsor
Stage 2: Employer nominates a position
Stage 3: Employee applies for a visa

please go to the Link and read carefully because there is work involved its not as easy as 1,2,3.
https://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skill.../subclass-457/

good luck

Hi -

From our experience, online 457 visa/nomination applications (if sponsoring employer is already an approved sponsor) are typically taking 2 weeks or so currently. Sponsorship applications for applications without risk factors are taking 1-2 weeks.

If you have to lodge paper application, that will extend the processing time considerably, perhaps 1 month, etc.

Hope this helps -

Best,

Mark Northam

Hi -

No numerical limit per se, however they need to be able to financially and otherwise justify each nomination and applicant.

Best,

Mark Northam
