Prospective Marriage Visa on a Temporary ban

Hi,

I am an Australian citizen and my boyfriend of three years is British. Last year he was "turned around" at Sydney airport for working on a tourist visa as we were returning from a holiday, although his breach of the conditions was minimal at best - he was helping out around my house as a bit of a thank you for being able to stay with my parents. He was given a three year ban for all temporary visas, which I assumed included the PMV, however, when we consulted a migration agent he suggested this visa.

I'm interested in this option, as we unfortunately don't meet the requirements for a de facto couple due to the long distance nature of our relationship, but I'm concerned that this agent may be mistaken in flagging it as an option?

Does anyone have any advice on whether or not he would be eligible to apply for this visa, and how his ban would impact on our application??

Thanks!

Sc. 300 applications are not subject to PIC 4013 and 4014, which deal with risk factors and 3 year bans. Make sure to address the issue of working without authority upfront, as it could be considered a character issue.

Partner change of work address?

Hi everyone,

My Indian partner and I are currently waiting for our PMV 300 application online to be assessed.

His work address and situation has changed in the last week, is it required to update these particular changes on our application?

Thanks in advance,

Sarah.
