what are my chances?

hi.
I'm 30 years old.
been working for about 7 years as a java developer.
I have not finished university.
I have Spanish passport but live in Argentina.

I noticed visa process costs about 3000 dollars which is a lot to me.
so I only want to apply if I have very good chances of getting it (what I'm looking for is a full residential visa so I can live and work in australia permanently)

so do you think my chances are good given my background? should I go ahead and spend those 3000?
can anybody compare the IT market in australia versus europe? (since my other possible destination is europe)
thank you.
