[Spouse Visa] Change in Address and Job of sponsor (The husband)

Gals n Guys,

Embassy helpline said that we should send details of my (husband's) new job and address, but the lady on phone herself wasnt sure which form should we use.
Does any one know about this? There is one form 1022, which I used during my PR visa too. It there any other form for spouse visa?

Thanks, waiting for replies.

By the way, she gave us standard visa processing time of 12 months, which if true is bit dishearting.

Applicant country: Pakistan

Hi -

Yes, that's the correct form to use - always important to keep DIAC up to date with your current residential address.

Spouse visas worldwide have been slowed down in many cases by a huge surge in applications which has occurred as the result of several situations - primarily the new limitations and higher requirements for applying for skilled visas combined with a big increase in fees on 1 January 2013 - in many cases, the system has been swamped with partner visa applications and it's slowed down processing.

Hi Mark. I know your comment was a long time ago, but I am sponsor for my wife to come to Australia from Japan and My phone No has changed here in Australia. Is the form 1022 the right one for me to use because I am not the applicant as the form is written for. Thanks

Thanks Mark. Can you tell me please how to answer
Q13-Do you have a partner (spouse or de facto partner) and/or any
dependants who are/were included in your application?
and
Q15/16- Your visa and application details.
I am not the applicant but the sponsor. I don't know what to put.
Cheers

Hi Semps -

Important to answer all questions from the applicant's perspective (your wife). I'd type up an additional page to add to the form to state that you are the sponsor and wish to provide DIBP with your updated information.

Hope this helps -

Best,

Mark Northam
