Visiting fiancÚ after submitting Prospective Marriage Visa

Hi

I'm about to submit a prospective marriage visa to be with my fiancÚ in Australia. I currently have a visitors visa that was granted in February that's valid for 12 months (I'm from the UK).

We are planning another holiday for me in November but I'm unsure what happens to my current visitors visa. I always book a return ticket when I buy the outward flight, so that's not a problem.

Does the current visitor visa get revoked upon submitting the prospective marriage visa? And if so how long after can I reapply for a new visitor visa?

Thank you!

It depends on your time in Australia (days and months) (you not mentioned)

No nothing changes until PMV is approved.

Fantastic! So I can book the tickets now before I submit the PMV as the current visitor visa won't be revoked?

Your visitor visa would remain in effect until it either expires or the PMV is granted.

what would happen if approval for PMV happened when the fiance was in Australia ? Are they suppose to be out of Australia when approval is given?

You get told to leave when they have the decision ready.

You then hope to get a positive result within days of leaving Australia.

We went to Vanuatu for a week for this reason after being advised to exit for PMV decision.
Our result was next working day.
