Subsequent Entrant Eligibility for PR

Hi everyone,

I am on subsequent entrant visa (475 visa). My spouse is main applicant and he is on SRS 475 visa. We both are living in Adelaide. The requirement for him to be eligible for applying for PR is to live two years in regional area and work for 1 year. Will I also be benefited for same condition or not?

Thanks

I think your partner only has to satisfy the requirements. Cos He is the main applicant. Please correct me If Im wrong.

Good luck

yes lima only my partner has to meet the requirement. My concern is if he does not meet those criteria and if I meet, shall I be eligible?

Tx once again.

Hi Chumpa -

With the 475 visa, if you are going on to apply for the 887 PR visa, the primary and secondary applicants can switch places if necessary - that is, if the secondary applicant on the 475 meets the requirements for the 887 (live & work, etc), then there is generally no problem with that person becoming the primary applicant on the 887 application and the primary on the 475 becoming the secondary on the 887. That being said, there are several requirements for the 887 - you will want to make sure that you carefully look and make sure that both the primary and secondary applicant(s) for the visa application meet ALL the requirements.

Please advise if I can assist any further -

Best,

Mark Northam

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the information. I am bit relieved now. I would definitely ask for the assistance when the right time comes for the application.
