Cancellation of student visa to apply for a Working Holiday visa

Hello everyone,

I need your help! I am currently studying in Sydney (since July), and I want to cancel my student visa. I would say that I made the wrong choices about my orientation and I don't want to keep going with the exchange program that I am doing.
Instead of studying and coming back to France, I would like to stay in Australia, travel and work. Therefore I want to apply for a WHV.

Do you think it is possible to do it? How complicated ? I know that to apply for a WHV you have to be outside Australia, but can it be done from nearby countries such as New Zealand?
Thank you for your help !

2 things,

First Work Holiday Visa is off shore application, if I am correct.

You may still be liable all fees to your Student Visa provider due fine print.

Yes I know I have to apply outside Australia but I was thinking of going to NZ for a month or so!

And since I am in an exchange program I have no fees for the university here as I only have to pay for my university back in France (which is almost nothing).

So you think it is feasable ?

Yes, but don't quote me on that.

Check with an agent is my advise.
