Smile Thank You!!

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say a big heartfelt thank you to everyone who takes the time to post on here. I know I wouldn't have been able to complete my application without this site.

I just had my onshore partner visa approved after 7 days!! We applied at the Brisbane office last week, had my acknowledgment email last Wednesday and my grant email this afternoon.

From the bottom of my heart...Thank you!!

Congrats!!!

That's so quick! Would you mind giving us a little background on your relationship? Were you married for many years? Are there kids? 7 days is incredibly quick!

Congratulations! That must feel pretty great! Can I ask, did you mail your application or did you make an appointment and apply in person?

It's my understanding you can no longer apply in person when you're applying onshore. You have to send your application in via post.

EDIT: Actually, it appears it's debatable and depends on the onshore processing center. Check out this thread. It does appear to be faster to send it via post, from what I've read, even if they do allow you to lodge it in person.

Yeah, that's why I was wondering. I have heard of two or three people this year who had managed to get an appointment, and had their applications processed extremely quickly. Curious if that had something to do with it! I guess we'll just never understand some mysteries.
