Exclamation OT seeking for advice!!!

Hello!
My name is Thaysa, we (my husband and I) are living in Brisbane at the moment and I would like to know if I am elegible for sponsorship (Government). I have 30 years old, my qualifications are from Brazil, and as an Occupational Therapy, my board says that In VIC, TAS, ACT and NSW I do not need to be registered...My occupation is in a critical list, I had 6 as an overral band score in a academic IELTS, however it expired last week. Can I do general IELTS for sponsorship purposes? If yes, how much must I have as overral band score?Or it must be Academic? Here in Brisbane I have been working as a Disability Support Work, which I believe should fits in close related occupation. Please anyone can help me out?! Thank you in advance!

If you have had your OT qualifications assessed by the Australian assessing organisation that is a good step 1 to have completed and which you need to have done if it is not already.

As for state nominations ifyou have a look in the general skilled migration area at either an 886 or 176 visa [details for which one you may be eligible can be seen in the relevant sections] you'll find under eligibility a section with state links and then on separate state government sites you'll find nomination eligibility requirements, some states maybe just requiring you to have qualifications approved for classifications on CSL or SOL but some also requiring you to have a job offer.

Whether or not you need to be registered is a separate matter not really associated with either immigration or state nomination approvals.

So have a look at the visa eligibility to assess which one would be appropriate and seeing as eligibility will be decided on points allocation you can determine what level of IELTS will be necessary, a general or basic level only applicable to countries with english as a native language or if you have studued a university course taught in english and if recent experience is a requirement, usually 12 months in past two years as a basic no points requirement, you may need to seek Immi advice on whether the experience you have will be acceptable.

If all visa eligibility requirements look to be able to be met, then you could go on and seek a state nomination.

Also, if it is to be a 176 that you can apply for while in Australia, you will need to leave Australia just before a final decision is made on your application being approved for it can only be granted to someone when they are outside of Australia.
