With many, many thanks for everyone's support and good wishes for us!

It sure is incredible to feel, for the first time in FIVE YEARS that our future is secure! I still can't quite believe it - five years is a long time to face uncertainty! There are so many wonderful new experiences that await my husband in this country, and I can't wait to start our new life together here - plenty of new experiences await us together too - unrestricted public displays of affection (although it'll take him a while to get used to that!), unlimited good and healthy food, swimming in the sea together, visiting green mountains and forests, getting a car, getting a well-designed house, making it into our home... Our time has finally come.

This will make such a huge difference in our lives. I do wish everyone all the best with their applications, and here is hoping for success for all!

I don't intend on leaving the forum so I'll still be around often to offer advice, as well as investigating what we can about the system that is plunging all of us into such dark days of uncertainty and fear.

Here is to everyone's success!

P.S. he will get his grant email only on Monday (they let us know via telephone call) so until then we don't know if he got temporary or permanent residence in the end - I will update once I know.
