My husband's visa has just been granted, after a wait of 9 months! He applied from Jordan. We were married for 3 years and five months when we applied, and together for 4 years and five months. We had several lengthy periods apart but had spent most of the time living together in his country.

I must say I am extremely relieved after we had a very tricky interview where the case officer questioned our genuineness and told him flat out that it seemed to her that he simply married me to get a visa. It's great to know that we were able to restore our credibility and make her realised that she was wrong.

There were some aspects of our relationship that may be considered complicated, and for sure there are some that are considered unusual. I will post more about our particular case within the next few days to help others who find themselves in similar circumstances.

Here's to everyone's success!
I send you a huge cyber hug and many congratulations. That is beautiful news and I hope you are enjoying celebrating that you can finally be together now

And here is the promised update...

We received the grant letter (email) today, and my husband has been granted the subclass 100 visa straight away! He's a permanent resident of Australia!

Only a few weeks until he arrives to join me here. We are so happy for these hard times to have finally come to an end, and looking forward greatly to beginning our new life together in Australia, free from all the difficulties we faced for years in Jordan

Wishing everyone all the best, and with many hopes for speedy grants for all!!

Since he did his police checks before we applied and therefore also before his medical checks - in early May 2012 - he has to enter before early May this year.

Thanks CollegeGirl! I had noticed your absence and was wondering if everything was ok, but now that you've explained why you've been away it all makes sense! How happy you must be to be together for the first time in so long! I hope that soon you'll be together for good with no need to be apart ever again xx
