Business owner/investor?

Hey all,

I always wanted to go live in australia.

I ran into those sites where u can buy a business and become a business owner. And i already know if u own a business in Aus they grant u a visa as well.
But any body knows the regulations of the amount to invest?
Hopefully it's not a huge number.

Thanks,

Hi -

Actually, buying a business in Australia does not in any way entitle you to a visa.

Here's a link with more info:

Business - Visas & Immigration

Bottom line: DIAC eliminated several of the most popular visas with small business owners in 2012, leaving visas you can read about on the above link that typically require hundreds of thousands of dollars of investment.

Another option may be a self-sponsored 457 visa, but with the upcoming changes to the 457 program in July, some are predicting those will be more difficult to get.

Sorry I don't have better news!

Best,

Mark Northam

Thanks Mark for the fast reply.

I understand you are a migration agent, I wonder if I can get in contact with you.
I'm sorry I don't have a lot of experience with the forum rules, can you post your email address?

Thanks,
