what would be the minimum amount you need to be a sponsor if on centrelink payments,like a pension.

As far as I know....and depending on the visa...you need to have proven savings of $8000 per year or more for sponsorship.

Very difficult on a Government pension as you have to disclose where the extra money came from.......

You cannot say it was a lotto win.....

I think previously there were Assurance of Support requirements for partner visas... that is no longer the case. I've never seen any minimum posted required to be a sponsor, and people on Centrelink can absolutely sponsor. There have been many posts here on the topic. You have to be able to say how you'll support yourselves, or provide a stat dec from someone willing and able to step in and help if needed, but that's it.

Visa #2: Subclass 820 (From PMV).
Applied: End of April 2014.
Visa Granted: Early July 2014.
Visa #3: 801 (PR)
Eligibility Date: End of April 2016 (Applied a month prior).
PR Granted: Early April 2017.
