Is this what we think it is? Quick, urgent..kittykat!!

My fiancé just received this email from our CO.

Under the Migration Act 1958 (the Act) and the Migration Regulations 1994 (the Regulations), to be eligible for the grant of a Partnervisa you must be outside Australia at the time the decision maker decides your application.

To enable the department to continue assessing your application, you will need to do the following:
ˇ Inform the department of your intended travel dates from and to Australia
ˇ Do not re-enter Australia until you receive notification that a decision has been made on your application.

Please note that you may travel to any country out of Australia, including New Zealand, United States of America, Fiji etc.

Kind regards,

Notice how it says GRANT......are we in, did we make it?! Did you get an email like this kittykat?

I saw a user "Tiffany" post this exact same email from the same CO. She might be able to give you some info as I think she has planned her trip to NZ sometime in the next few weeks. Sounds promising though!

Looks like RM is going through the PMV visas for those that are in Australia on ETA.

Certainly looks like they are ready to grant you the visa they just need him out of the country before they do so, you must inform your CO that you left Australia so your GRANT will be official. Well done guys and good luck.

This is so exciting! I am so glad that you and your partners visa seems to be in the final steps of processing. I hope that it is granted ASAP!

PS I have RM too. And if she has pushed through yours and Tiffinys apps she must be moving fairly quickly for some - yay!
