Hey guys,
I have a q few questions regarding my 457 visa application.
My company launched an application for a 457 visa on 1st September 2016. Begin of November the Immigration asked for additional information to proof that it is a genuine position. Since then I have not heard anything regarding my visa application. It has been 5 months now. I am currently on a Bridging Visa B until a decision has been made.
I doubt that I will receive my visa.
In case of refusal I will accept the decision made by the immigration and not have the decision reviewed by a merits review tribunal, MRT.
However, what will be the consequences for future visa applications? I will have 35 days before I have to leave Australia according to my Bridging visa.
If I find a new job in the 35 days that is willing to sponsor me, will I have less chances to receive sponsorship due to a previous 457 visa application refusal?
If I already have the feeling that my visa application will be refused, would it be better to withdraw the application?
Am I allowed to apply for another 457 visa? I read about the section 48, but I have not really understood when you are not allowed to apply for a visa anymore after a refusal.
If I don’t find a job within 35 days, can I leave the country and come back on a tourism visa, or won’t I receive it?
Many thanks for your help!
