Application question

Heya, for those of you that have done partner visas before and have submitted things like cards as evidence of relationship, did you actually get them back again from immigration?

I have a few handmade cards from my partner that I'd also like to submit as evidence, but having sentimental value, I'm a bit concerned about not getting them back again.....

Cheers

Darren

I'm pretty sure you wont get it back.
In one of the pdf files downloaded from the immi website it says to make copies of things because in most cases things like photos will not be returned.

Can you maybe photocopy them or take photographs of them?

I too have seen the reference belle mentions darreno, standard practice not to have anything returned.

Not sure if it is on one of the checklist links but the reality of checking applications is that photographs are not really valued, documented evidence is and when you think of it even group photos could be of anybody.

Keep your keeps sakes.

Cheers, I better scan them in and submit certified copies instead of the originals then.

Hey Darreno!

We actually got all of that back - I sent a cover letter saying we did not need them back but they still returned them which was lovely )
I like you posted some cards etc. and I had scanned color copies for myself to keep but then I got them back! BUT - then again it's not a given -

Cheers B

We received all of our photos back as well (not that we needed them, I got them printed specifically for our application).

Sounds as though immigration have got more of a heart or something, kind of them to do that and saves them storage space or filling waste bins etc.

Good on them.
