Did you tell them you are leaving MrsMae? Maybe it'll kick em into gear?

I did a few weeks ago. We didn't have the exact dates yet then, so maybe I should send them another email with the exact dates we have. that was the email they forwarded to my CO, but then I never got a response from her. I feel like one of us has to have good news this week

Hey everyone,

This forum has been enormously informative so I thought I'd finally register and contribute our experiences so far, which have been.. well, we have ML, haha. As I can't yet use the timeline feature, here's where we are at.

Applied 1st of October
CO assigned 10th of October
Medicals sent on the 16th of October
Police checks were sent with the application

Not a peep out of DC and we're coming up on 7 months on Friday. My husband has been here on an ETA since February and we emailed immigration two weeks prior to him leaving to renew it - whilst they passed our email on, we've heard nothing. I can almost hear the tumbleweeds blowing across our application!

Hi Perpetual,

What are your CO's initials? I'm sorry you've been waiting so long too!

Hi MrsMae!

We have ML too. We used to be excited to check our email every day - I feel so silly for thinking we'd be approved in five months!

I know how you feel. I'm sorry you've been waiting so long too. Seems like our CO is a bit slower. I haven't heard a word from her either. Have you tried emailing them at all? I sure hope we both get some news soon!

We have ML too. We've only just started so not expecting a miracle or anything, but we were pleased to receive an email back from her regarding a question we had.. that was a nice start!

Looks like it's just Perpetual, Suze Rush, and me left from 2012 now that Stzn and MrsMae finally went through. I hope it's a sign that they are clearing the stacks and not an indication that they aren't looking favorably on our applications.

Our approval email/get out of Australia please! came through in the early hours of the morning, about 12.20pm DC time on Friday. I honestly don't quite believe it - 7 months to the day since we applied. We have the same case officer as MrsMae - not sure whether we also have the same as Stzn. Truly very grateful, but feel a little shellshocked! Even my husband had a bit of a cry, haha.

CollegeGirl and MrsMae like this.

Strike that then, Suze Rush and I in the exclusive 2012 club.

Congrats Perpetual... You can change your screen name now!

And wow for ML. I wonder if Stzn's email to the immigration minister put her in the hot seat big time... That's like 3 seven-plus month visas approved in 2 days. I bet she got in trrrooouuubbbble!
