Overstayed my student visa. Please help.

Greetings,

I came to AU on a student visa and my visa expired last year september 2016. I reported to the CSRS and they provided me with bridging visa E for the duration of my stay until my departure. However, immigration officers at the airport verbally informed me that I am under exclusion period for overstaying.
The reason I requested for BVE (within 28 days) was because I wanted to finish my course of study (diploma). Now that my new semester is commencing at the end of February, i am looking to apply for a student visa.
I already have the necessary eCoE for my (advance diploma in commerce) from my school and I have clear intentions to study. I even tried to apply for a visitor visa, as it is faster processing time, but had to withdraw as the embassy here in my country told me i m under exclusion period. They advise that i apply for student visa instead.
Plus, my partner is in australia waiting for my return. if i cannot return it would cause considerable trauma to our relationship.
I have already prepared all the necessary documents in order for me to apply a new student visa. Written a letter detailing all my history of study at australia.
I would like to know if there is a possibility of succeeding in my application for a new student visa.

Please, everyone's opinion and feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Your re-entry ban cannot be waived.

If you apply for a student visa, you may ask to have the re-entry ban put aside for that application only.

You might want to consult a registered migration agent for advice about your eligibilty to apply for a visa to which your re-entry ban does not apply.

The exclusion period might not apply to partner visas (309/100 or 300) you should look that up. That is assuming your partner might be eligible to sponsor you, (Australian citizen or permanent resident). You would have to meet all the requirements for the partner visa as well. You might want to look in this book https://www.border.gov.au/Forms/Documents/1127.pdf. It costs upwards of $7000 as well.
