Did you sponsor your fiance or did she apply with only a letter of invitation from you? One would think if you are sponsoring them they wouldn't need as much funds
I just provided the invitation letter a photocopy of my passport. She sponsored herself because I sent her the funds to do so.

I am getting anxious about the result, so it was turned one month on May 29, why there's no result yet coming from them? any one please give me some informations/details, it will be much appreciated of mine. Thanks in advanced.
It shouldn't be taking that long, my fiance got the same visa but only took 10 days to process, you may want to call the embassy.

Hi! Glad I found this site. This is indeed very helpful. My boyfriend is an Australian and I am planning to visit him under tourist visa. We just don't know the process. Lol

I am on my process of working on my PR Visa but I am still on the primary stage. I haven't even taken the IELTS. That's why we prefer to go for a tourist visa whilst waiting for my application.

Does our pictures, his letter of invitation, my certificate of current employment, my passport copy (I was able to travel to other Asian countries too), his property copies etc. Do you think these are sufficient enough for me to be granted the tourist visa?

Thanks!

Hey same story, only my girlfriend is the Filipina, I'm the Australian. She plans to come here end of the year.

From what I know all you need from him is:

letter of invitation (him saying he will be supporting your stay etc)
bank statement to show fund (showing that he gets money to support you)
payslips (if he's working)
either a rental lease or rates notice

And you need:
http://www.immi.gov.au/visas/visitor...-checklist.pdf (a checklist of the things you need to do for the application)

the application: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1419.pdf

- this is what I've gathered for myself and my girlfriend. I might of missed something out but I'm sure that's basically everything.

This is what someone told me on this forum:
"As I remember they calculate it roughly $1000 per person per month plus cost for flight return to your country (to show you have some money to flight there and back); and that was a few years ago. It should be less since you have someone sponsor you. More important thing is that you need to show you will be a genuine tourist once you're granted a visa and come to Australia. You will not be working while in Au and you have a job back home waiting for you when you're back. Ask your boss to write a letter for you showing length of your employment, and you will be on holiday for this long and your job is secured for you once you return, etc...; make sure you include pay slips as well. Good luck!"

They care the most about you going back home. That's what it's all about... if you will go to visit, and go back home (you need to show them you have a good reason that you're going back. That is why your country is a high risk country because many people over stay their visa and don't follow the rules because they don't want to go back. Show them you WILL go back and you'll get your visa

Hey thank you. That's very helpful. How much did it cost you to process the visa of your girlfriend? I don't plan to stay there for months. I only plan to stay in a week or 2 as I also have a job here. Thank you again!

We haven't done it yet. She's doing an exam first and after that she will send out the application form around September.. I think it's like $100 or something. You'll find out when you send it or I think it says somewhere on the form. It's lots of reading I know.. pain in the butt.

After her exam in September. Next month she wants to visit by November. I'm in Western Australia. Where are you? She's in Iloilo City.
