I didn't apply for PMV, but 820 instead. My visa was granted 2.5 months after HKG police check was submitted. I guess I also helped bump up my case a bit to get the grant as well. Hope your visa will be granted as quick as I did or even quicker!

Thank you. Did you receive any confirmation email after you submitted the documents to hk? ?

Hi CCpro,

I have summit my PMV last month. The confirmation email said that
"The average processing time for Partner migration applications lodged in Hong Kong is currently 7-12 months. "
You said that "My visa was granted 2.5 months after HKG police check was submitted"
when did you apply your visa?
I really hope that don't have to wait 7-12 months for my PMV granted.

The waiting time for an 820 (onshore) and a PMV (offshore) are going to be different, so CCPRO's wait time isn't going to help you figure out yours, I'm afraid. Though you can see from the timeline under CCPRO's post that application was made August 2011 and visa grant was May 2012.

Like Collegegirl said, I waited 9 months for my 820. I was granted the visa 2 months after submitting HK police check as my CO was happy with my application and the HK police check was the last thing he needed. I'm not sure if there are other members here from HKG that can give u an estimate waiting time. Maybe u can pm mimimoew to ask her progress. Good luck cky!

I applied 820 Aug last year and submitted the HK police check in oct 2012. But unfortunately the mail got lost and I didn't realised it until my CO contacted me in June this year... so I have to contact HK police force, they asked me to ask my CO to contact them and request for a true certified copy, and my visa was grant when immi received my hk police check... if I knew the hk police check is lost earlier I could received my TR earlier!
