Bridging visa A

Hi guys,
I have 2 simple questions. I am going to apply for Partner Visa (Onshore). Will I get briding visa A with no work restrictions under the nex regulations no matter what visa I was on previously?

And the second question. Can I get the medial check up overseas or does it need to be done in Australia?

Thanks heaps for your answers!!!

love this forum
