Does Anyone have a picture of their presented application

Hello,

this is probably a really bizarre question, but I am struggling with how to put together our application. I have read lots of good threads on this forum but I am still unsure of what it should look like. Does anyone have a photo of their completed application and if it was in a folder or??

Thanks in advance

Here's what ours looked like. Just for fun we put it on the bathroom scales... 1.6kg in total hehe.
On the front you can see the application covering letter that we both signed at the bottom. We put it in a semi hardish case that we got from Officeworks then into bubble wrap and an Australia Post bag.

If it helps, we used this thread as a guide to prepare the application, and it was approved in 14 days.

I have resized these images accordingly so nobody can zoom in and read our personal info.

Immi website states not to use fancy folders & divders and such. Being really organised and presenting it well doesn't mean you will get it any faster or have a higher chance of it getting approved. However, i'm sure everyone will agree that the case officer will be able to pre-assess your application when it arrives quicker if it is organised and not just a random incoherent mess of paper.

I'm not sure what the application looked like once our migration agent sent it, but I recently put together a SFV application. With this I put the application forms ontop with an appendix at the back. I added coloured sticky tabs with the document number as per the index as I figure the CO is less likley to get annoyed about having to rip off a little sticky tab that they might having to disarm an application full of plastic pockets dividers and staples. But you know, I can no longer find that information on the Immi website so...?

No photo, sorry, but it was just 2 stacks of paper, each about an inch or 1.5 inch thick, each in a bulldog clip. That was all. No paperclips or any plastic, except for a square cut off and stuck onto paper in which to place our passport photos.

I found where I saw the information about not putting complex stationary in with your application - not the immi website as I first thought but a link from another post:

The Joy of Emigration: A Useful Email

Its not very recent but I would say not much has changed in regards to what they first need to do with your application - as I imagine it will immidiatly get uploaded to an online system these days...

In my photo above you can see ours used a few thin plastic sleeves and basic paperclips, but nothing that would cause injury to the CO trying to remove staples or anything completely over the top like that.

The reason we went with the thin plastic sleeves was our application was presented in different sections with a table of contents for the CO to be able to locate everything required while they were processing the application.

... and yes I do assume that everything is scanned into an online system and then sent away for permanent archival purposes, so that's why they hate staples and complex folder structures. I think at the end of the day it is wise to keep it organised somewhat but not too complex at the same time.

iduno, you might want to remove your personal information from the post above, such as people's names etc. I believe that it is against the forum rules to post that.
