visa 461 support letters and medical

Just in the process of submitting our 461, it's now in the hands of my wife's agent in Moscow. Her agent requested letters and copies of their passport, which we have done. But I have been told by others that they should be on official stat dec forms?
And secondly there seems to be a lot of discussion regarding medicals, is it better to wait for the request or to go ahead and get one done?
Thanks all

I was granted a 461 in April, I did have my letters on official Stat Decs, form 888, two of them from Australian Citizens signed and certified with copies of their passports.

Regarding the medicals, I did not do them, nor was I asked to. However, I had been living in working in a hospital in Australia for a year before I submitted my application. I am not sure if they assumed that I was healthy (and not carrying TB). I've had friends apply for the partner visa from Australia and get asked to do the medicals. It's your choice if you want to wait. Alternatively, you could submit the paperwork and during the 3-4 months wait period, you could get the medicals and send them along.

Good luck!

I'm sorry I don't know about the interviews. I did not have to go through this process to get my visa. However, I am from a low-risk country and had been working in Australia on a 457 visa for a year before applying. I submitted my application on the 1st of February and on the 23rd of April, I was notified that I got my visa. No medicals and no interview. It may be different coming from a high-risk country.

Best of luck!
