I didn't realise you came from a PMV. PMV is the only time you get asked for medicals. I have never seen anyone asked for medicals a second time.

My husband came from a PMV too and only did medicals once.

It is actually better to keep adding new evidence IMO during the process as it shows the case officer that you are still continuing at the time that they grant the visa vs 12 months earlier. When my husband's visa was granted the latest lot of evidence was only uploaded about 2 weeks prior - I uploaded updated evidence every 3 months for the first 6 months and then monthly after that and it always included joint bank accounts and joint bills at a minimum.
I haven't heard of this change. I uploaded quite a bit of evidence right off the bat anyway, but has this already been enacted officially or is it just talk as of now?

Every app will get a CO. Some just don't get contacted by one because the CO has everything they need to make a decision.

There has been a thread active on it for several days. Changes from 18 Nov 2017.

i know every applicants would and should get a CO however at my immi site is showing this " This application has been received by the department but has not been assigned for assessment. The department may contact the applicant once assessment of your application begins if further information is required. "

i have applied my 801 on dec 2016..and its coming a year with without a CO so i am trying to get some facts now. As in is this normal or should i give them a call?

Some people complain but calling doesn't seem to do much. There's an online form I'm sure someone will link for you.

You're still well within GPTs for the 801 so yes it's normal.

Effective 17/18 November 2017. I can't remember what date. They will also only do one request now for additional information if you don't respond then they will base their decisions on that.

Everyone gets a case officer it is just that majority of people do not hear from the case officer and get the decision without knowing that a case officer was assigned.

My husband's immiaccount had that message for all of the assessment. It still had that message that day before it was approved. I would not take any notice of the immiaccount status, it is pretty useless actually.

What you are experiencing is very normal. Based on what I have seen people are waiting around 14 to 16 months from eligibility date for their grant. Some do get it before and some after but 14 to 16 months seems to be roughly what we are seeing.

There is a spreadsheet link on the first page on this thread, if you have a look at that it will give you an idea of what the timeframe is for grants.
